MIDDLESEX COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Richard Dupre of Killingworth, Connecticut, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday in Old Saybrook, state police said Monday
Dupre, 51, was on-foot in area of Exit 69 around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday when he was killed after being hit by a vehicle on I-95 southbound.
According to state police, a driver was traveling southbound in the right center lane of the highway when he came upon Dupre, who was directly in front of him, reports WSFB.
The driver was unable to avoid Dupre and hit him.
Dupre was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
