AUGUSTA, ME. (THECOUNT) — Sierra Prescott, from Machiasport, Maine, has been identified as the woman killed in a head-on crash in Augusta Saturday night.

Prescott, 22, was killed Saturday night, when for unknown reasons, she drove the wrong way on the Augusta turnpike and collided head-on with two vehicles.

Shuba Raja, a passenger in one of the other vehicle involved, is in serious condition Sunday morning after being airlifted to Central Maine Medical Center.

Two other drivers involved suffered minor injuries, reports WMTW.

Prescott was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt for trauma injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains open.

Anyone with possible information on the crash should contact police at 911.

Friends and family members took to Facebook to remember the young woman. Some commented on Prescott’s eerie final posting noting it may hold a clue of what was to come. The post showed a picture of her mother and was captioned: “Mom: “let’s get bar drinks”

According to social media Prescott lives in Peabody, Massachusetts and attended Washington Academy.
