O’FALLON, MO. (THECOUNT) — Missouri man, Jamal Rhodes, has been arrested and charged in the first degree murder of his wife, Catherine Rhodes Saturday afternoon.
Catherine, 29, was found suffering from fatal gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Casalon Parkway, in O’Fallon, at 7:55 p.m. Saturday. First responders attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
Catherine was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
Jamal Rhodes, 32, was charged with first-degree murder in her death.
Prosecutors at the St. Charles county Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Rhodes with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and felon in possession of a firearm, reports KSDK.
His bond was set at $500,000.
The police department has not released any further details about the murder.
No one else is wanted in the case, police added.
