MIAMI, FL. (THECOUNT) — A routine million dollar shopping spree at a Florida jewelry store turned into drama for champion boxer, Floyd Mayweather on Thursday prompting police to be called.

Mayweather, 42, was visiting the Diamond Club Miami jewelry store when he got into an altercation with the store owner over a very expensive stone, TMZ is reporting.

TMZ says, Mayweather was shopping at the Diamond Club fine jewelry shop inside the Seybold Building when Mayweather zeroed in a stone. A verbal altercation broke out between Mayweather and the shop owner — and things got so intense, someone inside the shop called police. By the time cops arrived, Mayweather had already left the shop.

Miami PD confirmed that police responded to the shop regarding an issue involving a “high profile celebrity,” but did not go into specifics.

An unconfirmed source said an argument ensued after the owner of the pricey store told Mayweather that he shouldn’t bother checking out a particular stone because of its $1 million dollar price tag. Ooops.

Unclear if cops are still investigating the matter or if it is considered closed.
