JOPLIN, MO. (THECOUNT) — Andrew Clark, of Webb City, has been identified as the pedestrian struck in a fatal semi-truck collision in Joplin, Missouri Wednesday.
“Andy” Clark, 19, was fatally struck by an 18-wheeler while on-foot on I-44 near S Rangeline Road Wednesday afternoon.
Joplin Police arrived to the scene after 6 p.m. on reports of a man down. Upon arrival, officers discovered Clark deceased.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the semi remained at the scene and fully cooperated with police, reports FourStatesHomepage.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is under investigation.
