ME Woman Sydni Barham ID’d As Victim In Friday Fatal Rockland Single-Vehicle Crash

ROCKLAND, ME. (THECOUNT) — Sydni Barham, of Rockport, Maine, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash in Rockland Friday night.

Barham, 31, was operating a vehicle traveling on Limerock Street in Rockland around 9:30 p.m. Friday, when for unknown reasons, she lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway.

The vehicle then collided with two trees before flipping into a culvert.

First responders arrived and attempted to extricate the victim from the vehicle.

Barham was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Police said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, reports WGME.

The accident remains under investigation.

Barham made local headlines in 2016 after being arrested in a Rockland drug sting.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency orchestrated controlled buys of heroin and cocaine from Sydni Barham near her apartment in Rockland, reported KnoxVillageSoup in 2016.

She and the other Maine residents are accused of assisting by selling heroin and crack cocaine, recruiting new customers and evading police by allowing the men to frequently change locations by the use of their apartments as trafficking locations. During the past month undercover agents were able to make purchases of heroin and crack from several members of the group.
