MEDICINE LODGE, KS. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Husband and Lynn Husband, of Fowler, Kansas, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal motorcycle crash near Medicine Lodge, Kansas Saturday.
The couple died in a crash after a vulture flew into the path of their motorcycle which was traveling on rural road 13 miles northwest of the Barber County town of Medicine Lodge.
The bird strike caused the motorcycle to exit the roadway and strike a barbed wire fence.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the bird exited a ditch Saturday afternoon and struck 42-year-old Brandon Husband, in the head.
The patrol says Husband died at the scene, and his wife, 43-year-old Lynn Husband, was pronounced dead at a hospital. Neither was wearing a helmet, reports Fox4KC.
fox4kc is reporting the female victim as “Jennifer Husband,” however, TheCount.com has learned she is referred to a “Lynn Husband.”
