PHOENIX, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Phoenix Police are investigating a fire truck involved crash Sunday morning that left three people dead, including a child, and three firefighters injured.

VIA Shatter911, The crash happened near 29th Ave and Bethany Home Rd involving a pickup truck and fire engine.

Police confirm that all three passengers in the pickup truck, two adults and a 6-month-old child, have died. One adult died at the scene, the other passengers died at the hospital.

All three of those who died were in a pickup truck involved in the crash, police say.

Two of the injured firefighters were initially taken to the hospital in critical condition but the police department says now all three firefighters are stable.

It is uncertain how the crash happened but photos from the scene show the fire truck on its side.

Authorities have not released any other information about the crash.
