DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Breon Brawley of Lexington, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday motorcycle crash in Lexington.

Brawley, whose age was not provided, was killed in a vehicle collision around 4:45 p.m. while traveling on E Highway 64 near Smith Farm Road in Davidson County Thursday afternoon.

Troopers said a motorcycle was headed down U.S. 64 and hit a car that was pulling out of a driveway, reports MyFox8.

Troopers said speed may have been a factor in the fatal crash as the motorcyclist was traveling over 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Brawley was thrown from the motorcycle during the violent collision and was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

It is unclear if anyone was cited at the scene.

According to social media, Brawley was a husband and the father to a small child. He was a popular cook at the Thomasville Ruby Tuesday.
