WILMINGTON, NC. (THECOUNT) — Raykwon Reid, of Wilson, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim killed while operating a dirt bike in Wilmington, North Carolina on Wednesday night.
Reid, 23, died after the dirt bike he was traveling on hit the side of a vehicle in the 3000 block of Princess Place Drive. around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Witnesses say Reid attempted to avoid a van that was turning left on Princess Place Drive with the fatal collision occurred.
Reid was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
No one was cited at the scene and no charges have been filed against the van driver at this time.
