BLOOMINGTON, IN. (THECOUNT) — A 21-year-old male Bloomington, Indiana McDonald’s employee, was arrested on assault charges after allegedly throwing a cheeseburger at a fellow employee over her working too slowly.

The worker became angry that his 18-year-old female co-worker was performing her duties slowly and hurled a cheeseburger at her to make his point. The food item stuck the woman in the face but caused no injury nor pain.

The male was charged with battery. Police cited the cheeseburger incident as the cause for the charges.

The cheeseburger incident occurred on Tuesday around 11 p.m. at the McDonald’s, located at, 2819 E 3rd St, Bloomington.

The female worker called 911 saying she wanted to pursue charges against the man despite a lack of visible injuries.

The officer spoke with the manager who witnessed the argument. He confirmed the employee was working slowly, and that other employees were upset about it, police say.

The suspect later said he realizes he shouldn’t have gotten so angry. Bloomington Police Department Lt. John Kovach said they will issue the man a summons to court on a misdemeanor battery charge, according to FOX59.
