SAN ANTONIO, TX. (THECOUNT) — Hannah Westall has been identified as the woman shot and killed when she brandished an uzi while confronted by a San Antonio police officer Wednesday.
Westall, 26, was killed Wednesday in a police-involved shooting at the Huebner Commons shopping area.
FoxSanAntonio reports Westall was carrying a small automatic machine gun shortly after 5 p.m. when she visited at least one business in the shopping area at Huebner and Vance Jackson.
After leaving Domino’s following a short conversation with the manager, she was confronted by a sergeant from the San Antonio Police Department. He shot her when she pointed a weapon at him.
“If she really had an Uzi, who knows what could have happened. He could have saved a lot of lives,” said Louie Salinas, who works at the nearby UPS store. “That cop was brave.”
The investigation is ongoing.
