ST. PETERSBURG, FL. (THECOUNT) — Roderick Jackson Jr. has been identified as the victim of a fatal Wednesday night shooting in St. Petersburg, Florida.

“Rod JPpooh” Jackson, 28, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound after St. Petersburg Police responded to a call of shots fired the area of 7th Avenue South near 25th Street shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say Jackson was laying in the roadway when he was discovered.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries, reports BayNewsNow.

Police said they do not have anyone in custody at this time and announced no motive in the fatal incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
