CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Makayla “Kay” Manning, of Crossville, Tennessee, has been identified as victim found fatally shot in Crossville on Tuesday.
Cumberland County investigators were investigating two fatalities after a resident reported finding one body in a trash pile outside a home on Critter Creek Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Several hours later, deputies found two individuals suffering from gunshot injuries. Manning, 23, was identified as one of the dead on Vandever Road a few miles north near Lake Tansi trailer park.
TBI agents are calling it a homicide, reports WEDF.
Deputies have arrested a suspect in both cases on Tuesday. The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
A motive for the killings was not provided by officials.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911.
