NORTH HAVEN, CT. (THECOUNT) — Maureen Munzner, of North Haven, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a fatal hit-and-run collision in North Haven on Monday.
Munzner, 62, was on-foot in the area of Ridge Road, near Ridge Road Elementary School, when the fatal collision occurred Monday night.
The victim was walking on the side of the roadway near Sunset Road on Monday evening when she was struck and killed. The driver then fled the scene, according to reporting by WSFB.
Munzner was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the vehicle strike.
No vehicle or suspect information was provided by officials.
The investigation is ongoing.
