GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Adam Charles Hewitt and Michaela Lynn McKittrick have been identified as the victims killed following a collision in Slater-Marietta Saturday evening.
Hewitt, 21, was operating a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. on Dacusville Highway when they were involved in a two-vehicle crash in Greenville County Saturday.
A Nissan SUV was traveling on Dacusville Highway, when for unknown reasons, it crossed conterlines, exited the roadway and collided with an International box truck, driven by a 70-year-old from Marietta, which was traveling in the opposite direction.
McKittrick was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.
Hewitt was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries caused in the violent collision.
The driver of the box truck was also transported to the hospital suffering from unknown injuries caused in the collision.
Troopers say there are no charges pending in crash and no one was cited at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
