MOUNT VERNON, AL. (THECOUNT) — Anna Weaver has been identified by Citronelle High School, as the honor roll student killed in an ATV crash Friday evening.

Weaver, a cheerleader and softball player at Citronelle, was fatally injured in an ATV crash that occurred Friday around 4:30 pm on Shepard House Road, in Mount Vernon, AL, near Coy Smith Highway.

Three teenage girls riding on the ATV were ejected after losing control and crashing while driving on a bumpy, private road.

At the time of the incident, authorities said two girls — ages 13 and 14 — were injured in the crash.

Another teen was also on the ATV, but she was uninjured officials said Saturday.

The school commented on the tragic passing of one of their own:

“Anna was an honor student, softball player (pitcher), and cheerleader,” according to the page. “Anna was loved and known by the entire student body and faculty. Her smile and bright personality filled our hallways, classrooms, and our community with a glorious light that seem to shine through her. She made an impact on us all. Anna Weaver will be greatly missed. The love and encouragement that she gave others will never be forgotten.

One of the teenagers remains at University Hospital in Mobile with unknown injuries, reported WKRG on Saturday.
