LINN COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — The family of missing Iowa man, Christopher Bagley, have identified him as the body located during an ongoing criminal investigation Friday.

The body was found in the 4000 block of Soutter Avenue Southeast in Cedar Rapids, according to officials.

Police would only say the incident “appears” to “have connection to the disappearance of Christopher Bagley,” according to a news release on Friday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says it has been working alongside the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the Soutter Avenue location since Thursday morning.

The body has been taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy, which will ultimately lead to the identifying the body. No positive identification has been made at this time, reports KWWL.
