It has now been announced Santos is facing possible deportation after being detained by federal agents who say she’s in the United States illegally, according to I.C.E. officials.

Video from the event was posted to Facebook on Feb. 15 by Turner, the man seen in the video wearing the red cap, reported WCVB.

Santos is facing charges including assault following the confrontation in the Mexican restaurant in Cape Cod.

The video shows the woman grabbing the cap off his head and pulling it down over his eyes while he spoke to the camera.

Turner declined to speak to reporters, but granted WCVB permission for its use.

According a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman, Santos is a citizen of Brazil who is in the country unlawfully. She was arrested by ICE’s Fugitive Operations Team Monday near Falmouth.

“She is presently in ICE custody and has been entered into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts,” the ICE spokesman said.
