NEENAH, WI. (THECOUNT) — Andrew Schefelker, a beloved Wisconsin science teacher, was identified Monday as the sole casualty of Sunday’s massive I-41 pileup.
Schefelker, 30, a teacher in the Iola-Scandinavia School District, was killed in what authorities said was the “largest traffic crash in Wisconsin history,” WISN is reporting.
(ORIGINAL INFORMATION:) At least one person is dead and “several” others injured following a massive multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 41 in the Fox Valley Sunday.
The crash, north of Oshkosh and south of Neenah, occurred during whiteout conditions and involved more than 40 vehicles, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation said.
The roadway is closed to traffic in several areas, reported WISN.
