HOUSTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — A contestant in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo barbecue contest was found dead Saturday morning, a rodeo spokesperson confirmed.
The contestant, who was not named publicly, appears to have died of natural causes based on the medical examiner evaluation, rodeo spokesperson Brittany Rider said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the contestant’s family,” Rider’s statement said.
