DECATUR, IL. (THECOUNT) — Brittany Mae Shelton, of Decatur, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck in Macon County, Illinois on Saturday.
Shelton, 23, was on-foot in the area of 3500 Greenhill Road, in Decatur early Saturday morning, when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by 27-year-old, Sidney J. Flinn.

Flinn remained at the scene, however, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death.
Flinn was transported to Macon County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of aggravated DUI.
Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Preliminary charges are subject to review by the Macon County State’s Attorney’s office, reported Herald-Review.
