BAKERSFIELD, CA. (THECOUNT) — Jalson and Arlene Laguta, their sons four-year-old Caleb and seven-month-old Joseph were killed along with a family friend Saturday, after the car they were in veered off the side of northbound Highway 99 for unknown reasons, striking a tree.

Family of the Laguta’s say they were Jehovah’s Witnesses returning home to Delano from church and were good,”God-fearing” people, reports YourCentralValley.

Five people were killed in a crash involving several children on Highway 99 Saturday evening, according to the CHP.

Reports say, the call came in just after 5 p.m. Saturday.

A CHP website said one vehicle crashed into a tree near Cecil Avenue on the 99 in Delano.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. CHP said it’s unclear the exact age of the victims at this time but it was either two adults and three children or one adult and four children. The car involved is a minivan, reports Turnto23.
