CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Bryce Mikal McClerkin, of Arlington, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash in Callahan County on Monday afternoon.
McClerkin, 24, was operating a vehicle on Interstate 20 in Callahan County Monday around 2 p.m. when the fatal crash occurred.
A GMC pickup, traveling on I-20 near Putnam, TX, was attempting to pass another vehicle, when it lost control and exited the roadway.
McClerkin’s GMC then struck a guardrail, a signpost and rolled over several times before coming to a rest.
The victim was ejected from the pickup during the violent collision.
McClerkin was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, a crash report noted.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the violent wreck.
