LEWISTON, ME. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Meserve has been identified as the Lewiston Police Department officer found dead inside his Androscoggin County home on Friday.
Meserve, whose age was not provided, was found deceased at his residence on Friday. A cause of death was not provided.
Lewiston Police said they found no sign of violence. The Maine State Police will investigate the cause of death.
Meserve has been with the Lewiston Police Department since 2009 after working as a corrections officer at the Androscoggin County Jail.
“We would like to express our sincere condolences to Officer Meserve’s family, friends and colleagues alike during this difficult time,” Lewiston Police Lt. David St. Pierre said. source
