CASA GRANDE, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Orlando Requena has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday morning shooting at Arizona Grain, in Casa Grande.
Requena, 26, was named as the victim of the early Tuesday morning shooting that occurred at around 2:30 a.m. at the business, located on East Main Avenue, in Casa Grande, AZ.
The victim, who was employed as a train worker, was on the job when an unidentified suspect, who is believed to be between 5-feet 8-inches and 6-feet, wearing a dark ski mask, entered the offloading area and shot Requena multiple times with a handgun, according the Maricopa Police Department.
“It appears the suspect caught the victim off guard,” Jenny Alsidez, MPD public information officer told inmaricopa.
The lone witness to the shooting ran to the main office and told the employee there to call 911.
Four employees were working at the time, she said.
The offloading area was not secured by a lock and Alsidez said with the train near the area “would be very, very loud.”
Police said no words were exchanged between the shooter and the victim, although the shooting was likely intentional, reports inmaricopa.
Police say Requena was a father. Authorities did not say how many children he had or if he was currently married.
The investigation is ongoing.

Casa Grande is a city in Pinal County, approximately halfway between Phoenix and Tucson in the U.S. state of Arizona. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city is 48,571.
