WILSON, NC. (THECOUNT) — Pamela Eatmon, a popular science teacher at, Fike High School, in Wilson, NC, has been identified as the victim in a murder-suicide Tuesday night.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Eatmon’s death as a murder-suicide that occurred at the home where the educator lived, authorities said Tuesday night.

Sheriff’s office deputies say they responded to a residence in the 5600 block of Wellons Court around 11 p.m. on a report of a burglary in progress. Authorities said, upon arrival, the investigation shifted to a possible murder-suicide, according to a report.
The Wilson County school district confirmed in a statement that Eatmon, who taught Family and Consumer Science at Fike, had died, reports WRAL.
Randy St. Clair, principal of Fike High School, said the woman’s school family are mourning her passing:
“Ms. Eatmon was a beloved member of our Fike Family. She had been here for 10 years and taught Family and Consumer Science. She was like a mother to all of us, and we are all in shock and just heartbroken,” St. Clair said. “I ask that everyone please keep her family – as well as our staff and students – in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
