OWENSBORO, KY. (THECOUNT) — Jay Michael Sowders, 43, Robert D. Smith Jr., 35 and Christopher Carie, 18, have been identified as the victims of a triple-fatal shooting in Owensboro, Kentucky, Thursday.
A fourth victim, identified as, Carmen R. Vanegas, 35, is currently being treated for her injuries in a deadly shooting that occurred Thursday around 11 a.m. in the 900 block of Audubon Avenue, in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Police responded to a call of shots fired at the Owensboro home. Upon arrival, deputies discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot injuries.
Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while a man and a woman were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
One of those two victims later died at the hospital, while Vanegas remains in critical condition, according to 14News.
One person was taken in for questioning, but was later released. That person was not identified.
Arnett B. Baines, 30 of Owensboro, and Cylar L. Shemwell, 31 also of of Owensboro, were charged with 3 counts of Murder and one count of Assault in the 1st Degree in relation to this case, according to the briefing.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly shooting should contact police at 911.
The investigation is ongoing.
