MIDWEST CITY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Jones, of Oklahoma City, has been identified as the man killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Jones, 39, was traveling in a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6800 block of NE 23rd St., in Midwest City, when the fatal crash occurred, police say.
According to reports, the victim was operating a vehicle westbound on NE 23rd St., when for unknown reasons, he left the roadway and crashed.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the wreck.
Investigators say the vehicle continued west and struck a drainage ditch culvert on the north side of the street. source
Authorities did not release any other details into the cause of the collision.
Anyone with possible information on the deady incident should contact police at 911 immediately.
The crash remains under investigation.
