TOPAZ LAKE, NV. (THECOUNT) — Burt Pederson of Sparks, Nevada, has been identified as the victim in a fatal boating accident on Topaz Lake Saturday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday.
Pederson, whose age was not provided, was confirmed dead in a Saturday boating accident at Topaz Lake in the south end of Douglas County, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jesse Gregory of Sparks is still missing and is presumed to have drown, the sheriff’s office said.
Scott Wise survived the boat capsizing and was released from the Carson Valley Medical Center after treatment, the sheriff’s office said.
Topaz Campground and Topaz Park are closed during the investigation. source
