FLORENCE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Jordan Stackhouse has been identified as the bicyclist struck late Saturday night in Florence, South Carolina.
Stackhouse, 19, was biking in the area of 200 S Cashua Dr, in Florence, near Krispy Kreme, when he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle, according to officials.
The victim suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital.
Stackhouse was later pronounced dead as a result of injuries suffered in the collision.
Police say, the driver did not stop following the collision and left the victim injured in the roadway.
The suspect was apprehended a short time later, according to a report.
Charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.
A Stackhouse autopsy is scheduled later this week.
According to the Florence County Coroners Office 19-year-old Jordan Stackhouse was biking in the vicinity of the 2000 block of South Cashua Drive before he was hit by the car. Officials say Stackhouse was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. source
