HIGH POINT, NC. (THECOUNT) — High Point, North Carolina, teens – Carter M. Wilson and Ethan C. Mitchell – have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal early Wednesday morning shooting.
Wilson, 19, and Mitchell, 18, were found suffering from gunshot injuries around 12:30 a.m. in the backyard area of a High Point home, located at 4101 Braddock Rd, in High Point, NC, according to police.
High Point Police responded to calls of shots fired at a residence on Braddock Rd. on Wednesday. The person reporting stated that a shooting had occurred involving two people.
Upon arrival, officers located both Wilson and Mitchell in close proximity of each other in the backyard of the residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries. Mitchell was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Officers checked the first victim, Carter M. Wilson, 19 of High Point and determined that he was deceased. The second victim, Ethan C. Mitchell, 18, was taken to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro with life-threatening injuries. Mitchell was pronounced dead by medical personnel prior to arriving at the hospital. source
Several other individuals at home at the time of the deadly shooting will be interviewed by detectives, according to police.
No other suspect or motive information was provided by authorities.
