(ORIGINAL INFO): Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said at a press conference that the employers of missing Woodland Park, Colorado mother, Kelsey Berreth, received a text from her number on Sunday, November 25, stating that she would not be able to come to work that week.

On November 22, Berreth, a 29-year-old flight instructor at Doss Aviation in Pueblo, met her fiancé, Patrick Frazee, to drop off their daughter. Police say surveillance video of Berreth shopping with her daughter that day at a Woodland Park supermarket was the last time she was seen.

Berreth’s phone also allegedly sent a text message to Frazee on Sunday, Nov, 25, the same day her employer was contacted via text.

Woodland Park Police began their search on December 2, when Berreth’s mother, Cheryl, alerted them of her daughter’s disappearance.

Cheryl spoke at a police press conference Monday:

“She’s not the kind that runs off,” Cheryl Berreth said. “This is completely out of character. Kelsey loves her God, she loves her family and friends and she loves her job. She’s reliable, considerate and honest.” source

Police said they haven’t yet identified any suspects but added there is no threat to the surrounding community.

De Young said the department is treating this as a missing person case and is asking the public for tips.

Anyone with information should contact police at 911.
