LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — In what’s being called a “random act of violence,” a homeless Los Angeles man was caught on video pushing a stranger into oncoming traffic and under a passing truck.
The victim amazingly survived the sneak attack but was left in critical condition.
Surveillance video shows the shocking moment a homeless man pushes a stranger into oncoming traffic, where he is then ran over by a truck.
The victim falls into the street and is pinned by a truck as the driver hits the brakes. The suspect is seen walking away from the scene.
The victim, identified only as a “man in his 60s,” is seen pinned under the truck for at least 10 seconds until bystanders rush to free him.
Police said the suspect in the video is a homeless man that frequently visits the area. The video shows him sitting on a bench in front of a restaurant Wednesday morning when the victim walks by. The video shows the suspect then stand up and push the victim into oncoming traffic, seemingly unprovoked. source
The victim is expected to survive and is listed in critical condition with a collapsed lung and “scrapes, bumps and bruises.”
