CHARLOTTE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Javon Daniel Alim Sherwood has been identified as the victim found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the University area of Charlotte Saturday night.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department identified Sherwood, 21, as the man who was shot and killed Saturday night in the 8700 block of Autumn Lake Court, Charlotte, NC.

CMPD officers arrived to find Sherwood down in the parking lot of the Autumn Lake Court Apartments in Charlotte Saturday around 7:20 p.m.

Sherwood was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot wounds.

No suspect or motive information was provided.
