PENSACOLA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Cody A. Carter, of Pensacola, Florida, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Carter, 23, was walking at approximately 11:16 p.m the northbound lanes on South Blue Angel Parkway near Grand Bahama Drive when he was struck by a 2015 Audi A3, FHP said in a crash report.
The Audi driver, Taryn Boccia, 29, of Pensacola, was traveling northbound on Blue Angel when she collided with Carter.
Following the collision, Carter reportedly came to a rest on the vehicle’s roof.
Boccia brought the vehicle to a stop and remained at the scene until cooperating fully with arriving authorities.
The vehicle remained in the northbound lane on Blue Angel, south of Grand Bahama. The pedestrian remained at his final rest on the roof of the Audi. source
