Childers pleaded not guilty to those charges and is being held without bail.

Dean is accused of opening fire on Carlton Street in Sodus on October 22, killing the couple outside their home.

Deputies say the motive for the murder was a custody dispute between Childers and Niles, her ex-boyfriend.

A third suspect, Bron Bohlar, a Texas police officer who worked at the Sunray Police Department, where Dean had served as police chief, is also charged with conspiracy in the case. He’s accused of helping Dean rent a vehicle as part of the murder.

Bohlar’s hearing Wednesday was waived, but he will be arraigned on Monday.
