LEXINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Clarence T. Henley has been identified as the Kentucky business owner found shot dead in Lexington on Friday.
Henley, 57, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound at his welding business, Henley Welding and Iron Works, located at 1101 Delaware Ave, in Lexington KY.
Lexington police received a call about 8 a.m. Friday after an employee apparently found Henley with a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators have ruled the case a homicide.
No suspect information was provided and details of the killing are unknown.
Employees at Henley are grieving their boss’s untimely death:
“To say this is shock to all of us, that’s an understatement,” said Emmit Adams. “He was very generous. I’ll put it that way. He took care of his people. He was all business, he knew his business.” source
Other employees arrived to find their workplace blocked by police and coroner’s officers.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Frankfort later Saturday.
