PORTLAND, OR. (THECOUNT) — Luis Diego Hernandez-Garcia has been identified as the victim of a shooting that occurred inside a residence in Hillsboro on Tuesday.
AKA, “Diego Garcia,” 19, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound near Northeast Grant Street, in Hillsboro, OR, just before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
On Wednesday morning, police identified the suspect in the case as 20-year-old Ulizes Escobar.
According to Facebook, Escobar and Diego Garcia were acquaintances.
Hillsboro police said there was a report of a shooting inside a residence on Northeast Grant Street near Cornell Road just before 2 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Luis Diego Hernandez-Garcia dead inside. Several other people were inside, according to police. Police recovered a gun at the scene, but it’s unclear if it was the weapon involved. source
Poynter Middle School went into lockdown for about 15 minutes on Tuesday, but police said there is no danger to the community at this time.
