WELDON SPRING, MO. (THECOUNT) — Krystofer Batsell has been identified as the driver killed in a crash by another driver who was fleeing a traffic stop in St. Charles County Saturday.
Batsell, 21, was operating a vehicle on Cedar Glen Drive, in Weldon Spring, MO, when Aron Richardson crashed into his driver side door, the Missouri State Highway Patrol stated in a crash report.
Batsell was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt for trauma injuries consistent with the violent collision.
Police were conducting a traffic stop on Richardson when he fled the scene in his vehicle.
Just down the road, Krystofer Batsell was on Cedar Glen Drive making a left turn onto Highway 94. Richardson crashed his vehicle into the driver side of Batsell’s vehicle, the Missouri State Highway Patrol stated in a crash report. source
Richardson survived the crash with minor injuries. A passenger in his car, Erika Ward, was transported with moderate injuries.
Richard was taken into custody.
