YANKTON, SD. (THECOUNT) — Missing South Dakota woman, Phyllis Hunhoff, has been located dead in a vehicle in a rural area of Yankton, on the Santee Sioux Reservation. Hunhoff had been reported missing on November 4th.
Yankton County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday that they received a tip on Wednesday, Nov 7th, from Knox County Nebraska Law enforcement, that a vehicle belonging to Hunhoff had been located.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 59-year-old Hunhoff inside the vehicle.
A cause of death was not provided and foul play is suspected in the death, according to authorities.
A multi-agency investigation is underway. source
