LOS ANGELES. CA. (THECOUNT) — Beverly McClellan, a singer who made it all the way to the finals on the first season of NBC’s singing competition, The Voice, has passed away. She was 49.

McClellan appeared on the very first season of the show with coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green.

She went on to compete in every single stage of the competition and soared above most others until the very last stage of the show. As one of the final four, it was very clear McClellan was a standout – and an incredibly gifted singer. source

Sadly, McClellan was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in March of this year and fought her battle against the disease fiercely until October 26th when her journey came to an end.

Her passing was announced by her closest friends and family on her now-closed GoFundMe page in support of her fight.
