PORTLAND, OR. (THECOUNT) — Darnell J. Jolly, the Portland, OR, man struck by a suspected drunk driver last week, died Wednesday in the hospital, according to Portland police.
Jolly, 64, was identified as the pedestrian struck while on SE Stark St and SE 146th Ave Portland, OR, last Friday night. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and sadly passed away today.
William C. Leptich, 64, was arrested and booked into Multnomah County Jail. Police said at the time they believes he was driving under the influence of intoxicants.
