WATERBURY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream company is joining the corporate america delve into politics by announcing a new “anti-Trump” themed flavor called, “Pecan Resist.”
The ice cream company, known for its small portions at a high price point, churned out it newest politically-infused flavor while declaring, “This flavor supports groups creating a more just and equitable nation for us all, and who are fighting President Trump’s regressive agenda.”
Just in time for the midterms, “Pecan Resist” is described as a high calorie-count chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts and fudge-covered almonds.
The company also said it “could not be silent,” in the face of Trump’s policies that attack and attempt to roll back decades of progress on racial and gender equity. The company cited its fight against Trump’s administration to roll back LGBT rights and its refusal to battle climate change.

Back in 2016 the company rolled out another political-themed flavor just in time for the presidential election called, Empower Mint, a peppermint ice cream with fudge brownies and fudge swirls.
Ben & Jerry’s said of the lactose intolerant nightmare, “This fudge-filled flavor reflects our belief that voting gives everyone a taste of empowerment, & that an election should be more ‘by the people’ and less ‘buy the people!'” So in other words, “what do you have to lose?”
