CATOOSA COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Steven McGuire, of Sale Creek, TN, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in Catoosa County, GA, Sunday.
McGuire, 38, was fatally struck by a vehicle around 8:00 p.m., near Cloud Springs Road and Dietz Road, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, on Sunday, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
McGuire was reportedly thrown at least 60 feet in the violent collision.

McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
It’s unclear if the driver of the Elantra was cited or will face any charges.
The Georgia State Patrol say the investigation is ongoing.
