LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) — Robert William Davis has been identified as the victim in a Thursday morning motorcycle crash in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Destinee Miles, 22, was making an unauthorized left hand turn into oncoming traffic while traveling on 300 North Nellis Boulevard, in Las Vegas, NV, when motorcyclist, Davis, 43, struck the passenger side door of her vehicle.
Davis was thrown from his bike during the violent collision.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
The cause and manner of Davis’s death was still being investigated by the coroner.
Captain Nick Farese said a Dodge Dart driven by 22-year-old Destinee Miles made a left turn on Nellis Boulevard without yielding to oncoming traffic. Davis was traveling northbound on Nellis Boulevard when he was struck by Miles, which caused Davis’s motorcycle to overturn. source
Miles remained on scene and was cooperative with police, Farese said. No other information was immediately available.
