MUSKOGEE COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — The body of missing Muskogee, Oklahoma man, Luke Dennis has been located in the Arkansas River, in Oklahoma, reports the OHP.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said they found the body of 29-year-old Dennis in the Arkansas River around 9:56 a.m. Saturday.
Police said Dennis’ body was spotted by a private plane traveling in the area.
Dennis went missing after getting his pickup truck stuck in the Braggs area of Muskogee County, according to officials. He was last seen Wednesday, October 10 around 3:30 p.m. when he asked a nearby resident to use a phone.
Dennis was last seen Wednesday, October 10 around 3:30 p.m. when a nearby homeowner allowed him to use their phone to call a wrecker for his pickup truck near David Field Road. When the wrecker arrived, Dennis and his truck were gone. source
Deputies are working to learn the reason Dennis would have been in the Braggs area.
His family told deputies it is out of his character to disappear and he has no known health or legal issues.
