BERLIN TOWNSHIP, MI. (THECOUNT) — David S. Hoskins has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Berlin Township.
Hoskins, 47, was traveling on N Dixie Hwy near Swan Creek Rd, around 2:50 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle while in a curved area of the roadway. He exited the roadway and struck a large concrete pillar and a tree, which caused the vehicle to go airborne before coming to a rest.
The victim was ejected from the vehicle during the violent collision, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Hoskins was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Both speed and alcohol allegedly appear to be factors in the crash. source
