WINSTON-SALEM, NC. (THECOUNT) — Patrick Maurice Hawkins has been identified as the victim struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Winston-Salem, according to police.
Hawkins, 53, was named as the pedestrian killed after being hit by a 2008 E-350 Ford van in the 1000 block of Motor Road around 8:12 p.m Tuesday.

Police determined that a 2008 E-350 Ford van was driving east on Motor Road when the vehicle hit Patrick Maurice Hawkins, 53, of Winston-Salem, in the eastbound lane. source
Hawkins was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
The driver and passenger of the van were not injured. It is unclear if anyone was cited over the fatal collision.
