CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. (THECOUNT) — Corpus Christi City Council candidate, Robert Adam Gaona, was found dead in his home by concerned family members during a welfare check Tuesday.
Gaona, 56, a Corpus Christi City Council candidate, was seeking to represent District 3 after next month’s elections.

Gaona reportedly received a kidney transplant last week and was having health issues before his death. The exact cause of his death is unknown at this time.
